Having purchased Chelsea style Blundstones (as well as 500/550, etc...) for decades, there are distinct differences with these heeled versions. The toe box is more narrow, the ankle & elastic comes a little higher & the heel is taller but has a than original heel my last two pairs had terrible issues with their soles deteriorating quickly. This pair has a slightly taller heel and has a slightly more elegant /feminine look. These will be used for riding & veterinary field work. The fit is comfortable, the ankle is snug. I did read one user's review saying she loved the shoes but was now stuck in them permanently because they were so difficult to remove. The elastic will give some overtime and the leather will stretch to fit. These boots always fit comfortably, they don't have the best arch support in other models, but the elevated he'll make these have a more comfortable fit. The printing on the side of my box indicates these were made in 2022, I did not purchase them until 2024. There is no evidence of dry rot or the leather drying out. Or if you scuff marks on the leather but they are minor blemishes. Overall good quality boots arrive safely and good packaging. I am happy with this purchase. Now I will try to take them off my feet, but I agree, this may be a two person job and I live in a single person household!!
